In the field of industrial safety, the use of anti-static bars is necessary where electrostatic charge phenomena occur on the surfaces of the materials affected by movements and rubbing.
In fact, it is frequent, especially in the plastic, paper and synthetic materials industry, but, more generally in all those products that have a high degree of isolation, that the surfaces are charged with rather strong electrostatic charges.
The antistatic bars have the task of neutralizing these charges which, given the high voltage, can cause damage to the electronic control circuits of the work centers, to the people and products built up to that point.
For their operation, the anti-static bars use a physical phenomenon known as ionization.
For correct operation, the bars are placed "in line" in the direction of the parts that are moved and, therefore, pass through a sort of virtual barrier generated by the ionization current.
The bars, in fact, are scattered with numerous ionizing points that allow the system to work perfectly. The ionizing current, perceivable even with bare hands, absorbs the surface electrostatic charge of the pieces and discharges them "to earth" neutralizing it and thus guaranteeing a safe protection from electrostatic charges.
The 24V anti-static bars powered at 24 volts, in order to better meet the needs of most electrical panels whose auxiliary power supply operates at this voltage, are certainly an easy, effective and safe solution for all the neutralization requirements of electrostatic charges.
